Oral-B Smart Series 4000

The Smart Series 4000 is the lowest range Oral-B Electric toothbrush to come with Bluetooth technology and work with the Oral-B app. It contains all the necessary features such as a pressure sensor and 2 minute timer. It comes with a sleek charging station however it does miss out on a travel case.

The Oral-B Smart Series 4000 comes in 2 main versions:

  • The Oral-B Smart Series 4000N which comes with a CrossAction and Sensi UltraThin Brush Head
  • The Oral-B Smart Series 4000W which comes with a 3D White and a CrossAction Brush Head

The only difference between these variants is the type of brush head it comes with. The electric toothbrush handle is exactly the same.

1) Features: Oral-B Smart 4 4000

Oral-B Smart 4 4000 Electric Toothbrush Review
Bluetooth Connectivity

Let’s jump right into the Bluetooth connectivity as this is the biggest selling point with the Oral-B Smart Series 4000. This is a premium feature that is found on Oral-B’s top of the range electric toothbrushes. So what is it?  The Oral-B app tracks your “toothbrushing progress”. Once the electric toothbrush is connected to the app, it monitors when you have brushed your teeth, when you have pressed too hard on the electric toothbrush and offers professional guidance. We all know we are meant to brush for two minutes twice a day, however this is not often done. The Oral-B app allows you to monitor your progress automatically and make adjustments accordingly.

Handle
The handle itself is a fairly slim profile and comes in either a blue or purple gloss finish which looks sleek. The slimline profile also makes it easy to hold. It is also rubberized which makes the electric toothbrush handle easy to hold even when wet. The on and off button which also controls the cleaning mode (more on this later) is very easy to press and very easy to change the cleaning modes. The handle is also waterproof so you could take it into the shower with you if you so wished.

2 Minutes Timer and Quadpacer
The Oral-B Smart Series 4000 comes with the standard Oral-B quad pacer 2 minute timer. I personally love this feature because it tells you when you need to change areas of your mouth. It does so by pausing for a fraction of a second.  The average person typically brushes their teeth for only 45 seconds so the quad pace timer allows you to track accurately the amount of time you have been brushing for.

Visible Pressure Sensor
The Oral-B Smart Series 4000 also comes with a pressure sensor which is a red light on the rear of the handle that flashes red when pressing too hard. This makes it very easy to see when you are pressing too hard and avoid causing damage to the teeth and gums.

2) Mechanism of action: Oral-B Smart Series 4000

3D Oscillating Rotating
The Oral-B Smart Series 4000 uses the 3D Oscillating rotating method of action which is good. There is evidence that this cleans better than a manual toothbrush. The Oral-B Smart Series 4000 oscillates at 40,000 oscillations and 8,800 pulsations per minute which is comparable with more expensive electric toothbrushes in the Oral-B range.

Compatible Replacement Brush Heads
The Oral-B Smart Series 4000 is compatible with all the Oral-B toothbrush heads including:

  • Oral-B CrossAction (Recommended brush head for most people)
  • Oral-B Sensitive  (Recommended brush head for people with sensitive teeth)
  • Oral-B Precision Clean
  • Oral-B Dual Clean
  • Oral-B 3D White
  • Oral-B Trizone
  • Oral-B Floss Action

Cleaning Modes
The Oral-B Smart Series 4000 comes with four cleaning modes: Daily clean (the standard one), Sensitive and whitening. I would personally stick to daily clean unless you have sensitive teeth or frequently press too firmly when brushing. The sensitive cleaning mode reduces the oscillations and pulsations to 30,000 oscillations and 6,500 pulsations a minute. This coupled with a Oral-B Sensitive toothbrush head would be suitable for people who press too firmly or have sensitive teeth.

3) Battery Life: Oral-B Smart Series 4000

The Oral-B Smart Series 4000 comes with a Nickel Hydride rechargeable battery that lasts for up to 7 days of use. When Oral-B say 1 week of use, this means that the battery will last for 28 minutes which is 2 minutes, twice a day for 7 days.

The Oral-B Smart Series 4000 comes with the standard Oral-B Battery indicator which flashes when the battery is getting low. It has three green lights that sequentially decrease as the battery gets worn down, it is a useful feature.

The charging station runs off the standard 220v -240v and is a very nice feature. Not only does it give you a place to put the electric toothbrush handle to charge but it also stores up to 4 electric toothbrush heads for you to use. I find this particularly useful if like me you share the electric toothbrush handle (please don’t share electric toothbrush heads).

4) Portability: Oral-B Smart Series 4000

No travel case with the Oral-B Smart Series 4000 which is strange. It is most certainly portable, you will have to buy a separate travel case which can easily be sourced.

What are the differences between the Oral-B Pro 4000 and Oral-B Smart Series 4000?

The Oral-B Pro 4000 is the old version of the Oral-B Smart Series 4000. The Oral-B Smart Series 4000 has Bluetooth connectivity whereas the Oral-B Pro 4000 does not.

Visible Pressure Sensor

Everyone’s felt the urge to brush with fervor and stick the bristles right up against the surface of your teeth. However, you’re not doing your teeth nor those bristles a favor. Vigorous brushing can wear down your enamel and shorten the lifespan of your bristles.

What is a pressure sensor?
A pressure sensor, with respect to electric toothbrushes, are small components inside the brush handle that detect when you are applying too much force during your brushing routine.  When it detects the use of excessive pressure, the brush will reduce the amount of power delivered to the brush head in order to reduce the chances of ongoing damage to the teeth and gums.  If the excess force is removed, the motor will power back up to a fuller speed and perform as normal. This change can happen within split seconds.

The bristles of the brush should skim the tooth surfaces to sweep away, bacteria, food debris and plaque.  Hard and aggressive brushing will not normally help, hence the pressure sensor to alert you to these instances where you do apply too much force.

Visible Pressure Sensor

The Visible Pressure Sensor is an important feature of higher end Oral-B models that score high points. Pressing too firmly with a toothbrush causes tooth abrasion. This is where the toothbrush starts to remove the enamel of a tooth and can lead to gum recession and tooth sensitivity.

Oral-B’s Visible Pressure Sensor not only reduce the motor power but will alert the user by switching on a light on the brush, quite often a red warning light found at the top of the brush handle.  This comes on as soon as too much pressure is detected.  It remains on until such time as the pressure is reduced.

App Tracking with Bluetooth
The most advanced Oral-B model will change the motor speed, illuminate a warning light whilst also sending a message to your smartphone application which is tracking your tooth cleaning.  These Bluetooth enabled brushes will often log the amount of time too much pressure was applied for and use it as a way of coaching you to achieve better oral health.

Pressure Sensor – Electric Toothbrush Features – How Important?

Some Oral-B models have Pressure Sensing but without the Visible warning light on handle
The brush has a sensor built in that will slow down the power of the brush motor if you are brushing with too much force. This is good as it helps protect the teeth and gums. The motor will speed up again, if the pressure is reduced/stopped.

However, it does not have what we really call a true pressure sensor. Aside from a very slight change in sound there is no way to alert you that you are brushing too hard. It does not have a red light, that turns on to alert you, like other brushes from Oral-B with a built in pressure sensor.

Oral-B Junior Kids Electric Toothbrush for Children Aged 6+

Features – Oral-B Junior electric toothbrush

UK Edition

For 6+ to 11 years old children
The Oral-B Junior Electric Rechargeable Toothbrush has been specially designed by Oral-B for the 6+ age range. It comes in a very trendy purple or Green colour which is eye-catching and the hand size is small enough for a child size hand. The on and off button has been made to be simple for a child to press and control.

This electric toothbrush also comes with a 2-minute quadpacer timer that “buzzes” every 30 seconds to let your child know when to change areas of their mouth. Also included in the pack is a helpful bathroom brushing guide educating your child how to brush their teeth effectively.

It does not have a visible pressure sensor however it does lower the power of the oscillations and rotations when your child presses too firmly.

Mechanism of Action

The Oral-B Junior Electric toothbrush uses a 2D mechanism of action, like the Oral-B stages electric toothbrush. This means that it has a rotary movement and no pulsations. This is an inferior mechanism of cleaning compared to 3D oscillation, rotation and pulsation, however, is better than sonic electric toothbrushes. There are currently no electric toothbrushes in this age range that feature 3D oscillation, rotation and pulsation.

The Oral-B Junior electric toothbrush comes with a sensitive brush head within the pack. This has been specially designed to be compact and has extra soft bristles. This is really useful as children frequently press too hard when brushing. The Oral-B junior is compatible with all Oral-B Brush heads, however, I would recommend sticking to sensitive brush heads.

Battery life

The battery life on this electric toothbrush is 28 minutes which is enough for one week of use twice a day. This is a respectable battery life. It also comes with a charging stand which holds the electric toothbrush handle upright and stops it from getting grubby. As with all Oral-B chargers it uses a 2 pin plug so unless you have a shaving socket in your bathroom you will need a 2 pin to 3 pin adapter. One of these adapters can be easily picked up from any electrical hardware store.

Replacement Brush heads

This Oral-B electric toothbrush is bundled with the sensitive brush head, however, you can use any of the other compatible replacement brush head from Oral-B

Oral-B Stages Power Rechargeable Electric Toothbrush D12.513K

Oral-B Advance Stages Power Electric Toothbrush

Features

The Oral-B Stages Power Kids Electric Toothbrush D12.513K definitely has the fun factor. It currently comes in 6 different Disney themes and designs:

  • Disney cars and planes
  • Disney Star Wars
  • Marvel Avengers
  • Disney Princesses
  • Frozen
  • The Incredibles

Disney Themes and Magic Timer App
This means that your child will take a liking to at least one of the designs. The Oral-B Stages also comes with the Disney Magic Timer app which is exclusive to Oral-B Products. This is available on Apple iPhone and android apps on google play. When this app is connected to your electric toothbrush, the longer your child brushes their teeth, the more the image is revealed. All images are of Disney characters and are well designed. The app also tracks your child’s progress, earn badges and rewards them for brushing longer and twice a day. This is an excellent oral health promotion tool and 90% of children brush longer when using it.

There has been a recent update to this app which means there are problems with scanning the product to activate the timer, leading to negative reviews on iTunes and google play.

Mechanism of Action

The Oral-B Stages Power Kids Electric toothbrush uses a 2D Oscillating-rotating mechanism of action similar to the Oral-B Vitality for adults. A 2D action is a rotary action which oscillates and rotates. This is inferior to the 3D mechanism of action featured on the Adult Oral-B Pro range. There are currently no children’s electric toothbrushes that feature 3D oscillating, rotating and pulsation. There is substantial evidence that the 2D oscillating rotating is better at cleaning plaque than sonic toothbrushes.

The Oral-B Stages power kids electric toothbrush comes as standard with 1 x  Oral-B EB10 kids brush head. These brush heads are designed for children aged 3+ because they have very small head sizes and soft bristles. Between the 3-6 age range children are beginning to clean their own teeth so having soft bristles is great because kids frequently press way too hard.

Battery Life

The battery stores up to 20 minutes of charge. This is enough for 5 days of use twice a day for 2 minutes. This is a little on the low side for a rechargeable electric toothbrush, however, is acceptable. The Oral-B Stages Power Kids Electric Toothbrush does come with a charging station included in the box. Like all Oral-B charging stations, the Oral-B Stages charger uses a 2 pin plug. To get this to fit into a normal 3 pin socket you will need a 2pin to 3 pin adapter. This can be bought from any electrical hardware store.

Oral-B Teen for Ages 12+ and above

The Oral-B Teen, as the name implies has been designed with those aged about 12-18 in mind.

Whilst there is nothing specific about this brush that makes it exclusive to teenagers, it is the design on the brush handle grip and the inclusion of the Ortho brush head that make it a little more fitting and appealing to this age group.

Perhaps a little generalised to assume that teenagers will need an Ortho style brush head, but to be fair statistics confirm that it is this age group that are most likely to need and want the brush head specifically designed for cleaning of orthodontic appliances (braces).

Variants of this brush

Depending on where and when you buy this brush, there are a couple of variants. Technically the brushes are the same. At the time of review, the only difference is the colour and the pattern on the brush handle.

Both named the Oral-B Teen the 2 colour options are:

  • White – All white coloured brush handle and grip. Black ‘Zebra like’ pattern on rubber grip.
  • Black – White plastic body, with black rubber grip. Silver/grey ‘tribal like’ pattern on the rubber grip.

It is the white option that is more widely available.

You may see some retailers or references to the name Oral-B Smart Teen. This is (in most cases) the same toothbrush. The word smart is often included because the brush has smart features, notably the Bluetooth connectivity.

Oral-B Children and Junior Series

If your child is over 3 years of age an electric toothbrush is an excellent choice.

The study results has shown us that electric toothbrushes are more efficient at preventing oral health problems like gum disease than manual toothbrushes. Getting your child accustomed to an electric toothbrush in their early years can provide positive benefits that will last them a lifetime.

It is a parent’s responsibility to keep their children’s teeth healthy from the time the teeth first erupt until their child is fully independent and self-sufficient.

The recommended Oral-B children’s electric toothbrush is dependent on the age of the kid. The above table list the models recommended by Oral-B by age range.

From age 3-6 years old go for the Oral-B Stages electric toothbrush and for 6+ to 12 years old use the Oral-B Junior Electric toothbrush. As for 12+ years old, Oral-B Teens is recommended

Age 3+ to 6 years old

Children in this age group are still very dependent on mum and dad for oral care. It is important that parents make sure that all surfaces of the teeth are cleaned. It is often easier to sit with the child between your knees with their head tilted gently backward.

It is a common misconception that secondary teeth only appear after a baby tooth has been lost but the first permanent molar can come through unnoticed as early as 5 years. It is vital that these teeth are cleaned thoroughly as soon as they appear.

This is a great age to introduce an electric toothbrush. There are a number of fun models available to get children excited about teeth brushing. Some electric toothbrushes connect with entertaining and educational Apps that can be hugely beneficial for establishing good oral health habits.

Children of these ages should not be allowed to run around or be left by themselves with a toothbrush in their mouths

1) Oral-B Stages Power AA Battery operated DB4510K (3+ to 6 years old)

Different countries may have different packaging of DB4010K

The DB4510 and DB4510K are powered by AA battery. Battery powered toothbrushes are toothbrushes that are powered by AA or AAA batteries and are not rechargeable. They often are cheaper than their rechargeable electric toothbrush counterparts. However, the amount of clinical research that has gone into battery powered toothbrushes are much less and they are in effect manual toothbrushes that make a buzzing noise.

2) Oral-B Stages Power Rechargeable Electric Toothbrush D12.513K (3+ to 6 years old)

D12.513K with different Disney Themes

Oral-B Stages Power rechargeable children’s electric toothbrushes are suitable for ages 3+ through 6 years old. Their small round heads provide an oscillating movement to help remove plaque from teeth.

One nice thing about D12.513K is that the character design is only on the heads, so if you want to switch from Cars to Star Wars, you can do so without replacing the brush handle itself.

All Disney-branded Oral-B children’s toothbrushes can be used with the Disney MagicTimer App which, they say, gets 90% of children brushing for longer. The app gradually reveals an image as kids complete their two minutes of brushing. Over time they collect rewards to fill a virtual sticker album.

3) Oral-B Stages Power Kids D10.513K (3+ to 6 years old)

Age 6+ to 12 years old

It is generally advised that parents help and supervise teeth cleaning sessions until the children are at least 6+ years old. As the children get older, supervision can gradually decrease but it is still important that parents maintain an active interest in everyday teeth brushing sessions. As more permanent teeth erupt it is vital that all surfaces of the teeth are cleaned thoroughly. If the child is using a manual toothbrush, their cleaning technique should be refined as their hand skills develop. The short scrub and bass techniques are both good brushing styles for children.

If they aren’t already using an electric toothbrush, this would be a great time to get them started. Electric toothbrushes are very effective at removing plaque and they are not reliant on a good brushing technique as the motorized cleaning head does all the work.

One of the biggest challenges for parents is to get their children to brush for a full 2 minutes. Electric toothbrushes with 2-minute timers are a great way to get kids accustomed to brushing for the proper amount of time.

Children in this group are very receptive to learning and this is a great time to involve them in choosing their own toothbrush and toothpaste.

6) Oral-B Junior Kids Electric Toothbrush for Children Aged 6+ through 12 years old

Oral-B Junior with 2 colours

The Oral-B Junior Electric Rechargeable Toothbrush has been specially designed by Oral-B for the 6+ age range. It comes in a very trendy purple or Green colour which is eye-catching and the hand size is small enough for a child size hand. The on and off button has been made to be simple for a child to press and control.

Junior Kids series have much better features than those models meant for 3+ to 6 years old (D12513K and D100) as they are meant for children which by now have stronger teeth

  • Higher rotation speed – Teens comes in 3D brushing speed, with 8,800 oscillations per minute, and 20,000 pulsations per minute, which is of much higher speed than the Junior models
Junior Kids and Junior Smart models are bundled with EB60 Sensi UltraThin, the softest bristle brush head from the adult EB replacement brush heads.

7) Oral-B Junior Smart Series for Age 6+ to 12 years old

Oral-B Smart and the variants

As stated on the box, the Junior Smart has been designed with children aged 6+ years and over in mind, up to 12 years old.

Smart Junior series have much better features than those models meant for 3+ to 6 years old, as they are meant for children which by now have stronger teeth

  • Higher rotation speed – Teens comes in 3D brushing speed, with 8,800 oscillations per minute, and 40,000 pulsations per minute, which is of much higher speed than the Junior models
  • Pressure Sensor – Pressure control reduces speed and signals to go softer if you are brushing too hard
  • More Cleaning Modes – Daily Clean, Sensitive

Typically, children need assistance from parents when brushing their teeth up until the age of about 8 years old. But, come 6 years old, routine and probably a bit of parental nagging has kicked in and they are doing a pretty good job themselves.

The Junior Smart offers a product that is still child friendly, but has been refined to be more mature and more ‘cool’ than the bright coloured handles typically applied to younger children’s toothbrushes.

All Oral-B Junior Series are bundled with an EB60 Sensi UltraThin brush head, with the softest brush bristles among all models of Oral-B EB series of replacement brush head.

Junior Special Editions

Oral-B also release a Special Edition for the Junior series, which comes with a specially design Star War theme travel case.

2021 Junior Models

Oral-B released a new design of Junior models in 2021, which comes with a new brush handle design, while retaining the same bundled brush head, EB60 Sensi UltraThin.

2021 Junior model Star Wars theme comes in 2 varieties, a standard edition, and the Special Edition, which comes with an original White Oral-B travel case
2021 Junior model Minnie Mouse theme comes in a standard edition

The Oral-B Teen, as the name implies has been designed with those aged about 12-18 in mind.

Teens have much better features than those models meant for 3+ to 6, or 6+ through 12 years old, as they are meant for teenagers which by now have stronger teeth, and want more advanced features:

  • Bluetooth enabled, teens can now download Oral-B App and connect to the brush handle, and use the App to configure the brush handle, and monitor the brushing activities;
  • Higher rotation speed – Teens comes in 3D brushing speed, with 8,800 oscillations per minute, and 40,000 pulsations per minute, which is of much higher speed than the Junior models

All About China version and “Global Version” for Mi Products

There had been a lot of arguments on the “correct” version of Mi products to buy, the so called “China Version” and the “Global Version”.

Is there such thing as China Version and “Global Version”?

Xiaomi is a China company, at the time of this write up, all Xiaomi products are made in China, logically all their products that are released in China for China market can all be used in China, and hence the “China Version”.

As a matter of fact, the terms “Global Version” only officially apply to Xiaomi Mobile handsets, where the Global Rom is basically the software variant that runs on your device. The Chinese ROM doesn’t come preloaded with Google Apps as it’s banned in China and it’s more stable while the Global ROM has Gapps installed.

So is there a Global Version or Malaysian Version?

If you Google around, there is no such thing as, say, Malaysian Version of Mi Air purifiers, or Mi Robot vacuum cleaner. It is more of Malaysian seller’s terms. The “Global version” are more for products that are released outside of China, with English manuals. They are mostly from India, which is a big market for Xiaomi.

As for “Malaysian Version”, we don’t think so, Malaysia’s market is too small for them to release a version just for Malaysia.

So Should I choose “China Version” or “Global Version”?

To differentiate, you’ll need to know about the variety of Xiaomi Products.

For Xiaomi, they have more than 300+ different products, and if you include those extended products under their Mi Ecosystem, it may be reaching a thousand products by now.

Under the Ecosystem label, Xiaomi partners with hundreds of Chinese companies to offer smart home products, fitness bands, smart shoes, robot vacuums, and even a rice cooker.

Over the course of the last few years, that partnership has extended to include everyday objects like backpacks, luggage, and screwdriver sets. Xiaomi sells these products under its own label, with the smart home products marketed under the Mijia sub-brand. For instance, the Mi Band is sold as a Xiaomi product, but it is manufactured by Huami. The brand’s smart shoes are also made by Huami, and are sold under the Mijia label. Then there’s the Mi Robot vacuum, which is made by Roborock.

Less than 10% of these products are released outside of China, as the so called “Global Version”

The Mijia / Mi Home App

To connect the Xiaomi smart devices and control by their Mijia / Mi Home App, you will first register a Mi Account, download the App, and log in. But before you can add any new devices, you will first decide which country you want your devices profile to be stored.

When you are buying “China Version” of Mi Products

You will need to choose “China” as country in your Mijia App, then all your connected devices and settings will be stored on Mi Clouds, where you can easily backup and retrieve. Simply sign-in to the Mi Cloud with your Mi Account on a mobile phones, and all the saved configurations and settings are all retrieved on the new Smart Phones.

Only “China Versions” of Mi Products can be added to your Mijia App if you choose “China” as the region, that will be close to almost 1,000+ of Mi Products.

You can’t add “Global version” Mi products to your Mijia device profile if you choose “China” as the Region.

When you are buying “Global Version” of Mi Products

You will need to choose “Malaysia” (or any country of your choice except China) as country in your Mijia App, then all your connected devices and settings will be stored on Mi Clouds under the “Malaysia” folder, where you can easily backup and retrieve. When you log-in, all the saved configurations and settings are all retrieved on the new Smart Phones.

You can’t add “China version” Mi products to your Mijia device profile if you choose “Malaysia” as the Region, as these products were never released in Malaysia.

Less than 10% of these products are released outside of China, as the so called “Global Version”

Can we have a mixed of “China Version” and “Global Version” Mi products under one Mijia account?

Yes.

But since all your “China Version” Mi products are store on China Mi Cloud, and “Global Version” Mi products are store in the respective country’s Mi Cloud. You will need to switch between Regions on your Mijia App, so that the respective saved configurations and settings are all retrieved on reload on to the new Smart Phones.

But you can only operate on one Region at a time.

What is the Pros and Cons of Choosing “China Version”

CONs
a) Languages – They only comes in Chinese Manual, and some labeling may be in Chinese, however, if an English manual is available from seller, this solves the problem. Mijia App is in English if your phone’s interface is in English

b) Power Plug – The device will come with either 2-pin flat or 3-pin China plug, but that is generally not a problem, you can easily get a UK 3-pin adapter from any electrical, and you can plug into the Malaysia wall socket.

PROs
a) Huge range of Mi Products – There are almost 1,000 Mi products out there that you can choose, and hundreds are release almost every year, including those under the Mi Ecosystem.

What is the Pros and Cons of Choosing “Global Version”

CONs
a) Limited range of Mi Products – with less than 10% of Mi or Mi Ecosystem products released outside of China as “Global version” you will have very limited range of product to choose from. You can’t migrate these “Global version” products to use the same Mijia cloud server under one unified account.

PROs
a) Languages – The Manual usually comes in English

b) Power Plug – The power cable usually comes in 2-pin Malaysia plug, or UK 3-Pin Plug

Comparing the Mi Air Purifiers

Currently there are 2 “Global Version” of Mi purifiers listed on Xiaomi’s International site – https://www.mi.com/global/index.html

These 2 “Global version” models are listed as Mi Air Purifier 2H and 3H, which is a mirror of the models released much earlier in China, as “China version” 2s and 3.

The following chart, with data extracted directly from Xiaomi’s official sites, gives the comparisons in specs

Specs comparison between “China versions” and “Global versions”

You can look at the 2 main specs, which is CADR and Applicable area, (in Red color above) both the equivalent “Global Versions” seem to have a lesser spec when compare with the “China versions”.

Why would Xiaomi want to product these “Global versions” with a lesser specs?

For Malaysia, you will end up with a 3rd party “Authorized service partner”, you can contact them via email or phone call, and you will likely be informed that only official models imported by P&G Malaysia will be supported under warranty in Malaysia.

At the time of this writing, there are only 2 Pro series models officially covered under their warranty, PRO500 and PRO3000, and selected models of Vitality series.

There is a Toll-free number for Oral-B Malaysia listed on some of the boxes, you can call and check – 1-800-81-5380

Why we only cover 30 days of local warranty?

These are the standard practice for all Oral-B sellers, including Amazon, during these 30 days, sellers will replace product one-to-one if there are any manufacture defects, shipment damages or missing standard parts listed on specification.

After 30 days, you need to send item back to Oral-B to claim warranty.

The 30 days warranty does not cover cosmetic damage such as scratches, or damage caused by:

  • Normal wear and tear
  • Accident, misuse, dirt or water
  • The product being tampered with
  • Improper use
  • Repairs carried out by agents not authorized by Oral-B/Braun
  • Failure to take proper care of the product, including recharging
  • The product being altered or used for commercial purposes

Can I replace the battery in my Oral-B electric toothbrush?

No, you cannot replace the battery in your Oral-B electric toothbrush. The battery is contained within the electronics of the toothbrush handle and the unit is then sealed to keep it water tight. For these reasons we do not provide replacement batteries for Oral-B electric toothbrushes.

There are some online video showing you how to replace the battery, but doing so will be at your own risk.
